As a company committed to both the community and the environment, our goal is to reduce water consumption as much as possible \u2014 which is why all our plants have taken action to fight climate change. <\/p>\n<p>Food production and the energy used for it involve both direct and indirect water consumption. The total volume of water used in our daily activities is known as the <em>\u201cwater footprint.\u201d <\/em>This footprint is not only shaped by the production of the goods and services we consume, but also by the direct use of water in our everyday lives. Reducing our water footprint plays an essential role in combating the climate crisis and contributes to a more sustainable environment.   <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s important to remember that 1,385 cubic meters \u2014 roughly half of an Olympic swimming pool \u2014 is the average annual water footprint per person. This is the amount of fresh water needed to produce everything a person eats, wears, and uses to get from one place to another \u2014 in short, to live their daily routine. <\/p>\n<div class=\"colsnoti\">\n<h2>Our goal: reduce water consumption as much as possible<\/h2>\n<p>At Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods, we are well aware of this responsibility. That\u2019s why we apply new technologies that allow us to reduce food waste, support sustainable agriculture, operate wastewater treatment systems in our facilities to save water and energy, and reuse all clean water \u2014 significantly reducing our supply needs.
