Offer Details: QUALITY MANAGER (LES PRESES)

Costa Brava Foods, a leading company in its market segment with both national and international presence, is seeking to recruit a QUALITY MANAGER to join its Les Preses plant, Embutidos Caseros Collell, for the plant’s quality department.

The main mission of the selected candidate will be to lead and coordinate the department, ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards, as well as current regulations. The selected individual will be key to ensuring excellence across all stages of the production process. Their main responsibilities will include:

Management and supervision of the quality department:

  • Organize and lead the plant’s quality team.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.
  • Implement and monitor procedures and control plans.
  • Verify all stages of the production process.
  • Evaluate quality indicators and establish corrective measures.
  • Manage communication of relevant incidents to management.

Control and supervision of the quality system:

  • Verify records (CCP, self-controls, PNCH, etc.).
  • Coordinate with production, maintenance, and cleaning teams.
  • Implement monitoring systems, internal audits, and periodic controls.
  • Support production incidents and customer complaints.
  • Monitor internal, customer, and supplier non-conformities.

Management and analysis of hygiene and sanitation:

  • Supervise the results of microbiological analyses and analytical controls.
  • Supervise the results of final product analyses (external laboratory).
  • Ensure the plant is maintained in optimal hygienic and sanitary conditions.

Audits and training:

  • Manage visits from official veterinary services (SVO) and executives, as well as preventive actions.
  • Prepare and manage internal and external audits (IFS, BRC).
  • Train staff on prerequisite programs and procedure documentation.
  • Update the HACCP system and related documentation.

The profile we are seeking is a professional with a university degree in Veterinary Science, Biology, Food Science and Technology, or a related field. Additionally, the candidate must have advanced Excel skills, experience with ERP systems, and in-depth knowledge of HACCP, IFS, BRC systems, and food regulations. The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position or 5 years as a Quality Manager.

We will particularly value candidates with strong organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail and regulatory compliance, effective cross-functional communication (production, maintenance, management), as well as initiative and responsibility in decision-making.

The position offers a full-time schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The selected candidate will be offered a stable position.
