Job Offer Details: IT/OT TECHNICIAN (LES PRESES)
Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods, a leader in the meat industry market segment, with national and international presence, is looking to incorporate an IT/OT Technician at its Les Preses plant, Embutidos Caseros Collell, to join the plant’s IT team.
Reporting directly to the IT Manager, the mission of the position will be to join the plant’s IT Department to provide support and grow within the IT/OT field, with an initial strong focus on the industrial OT environment and on the deployment and operation of the Unified Namespace (UNS). The main responsibilities include:
OT and Data Space (UNS):

Provide support in the implementation and evolution of the UNS

Connect and validate industrial data sources (SCADA, PLCs, IIoT, OPC UA, gateways)

Configure and maintain data flows between OT systems and IT platforms

Verify the quality, continuity, and consistency of industrial data

Document data structures, configurations, and data flows
IT/OT Infrastructure (progressive):

Collaborate in IT/OT network segmentation tasks (VLANs, environment separation)

Provide support in basic hardening actions for industrial systems

Participate in the implementation and maintenance of monitoring systems (PRTG)

Support the identification and inventory of OT assets
Coordination and Technical Management:

Work in coordination with the senior team

Analyze technical incidents and propose improvements

Document procedures and best practices

Execute defined technical tasks with operational autonomy

Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have a university degree or higher education in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Automation, Electronics, or related technical disciplines.
The candidate should have between 2 and 4 years of experience in IT, OT, or industrial automation technical environments. Knowledge of industrial OT fundamentals (SCADA, PLCs – integration, not programming, industrial protocols such as OPC UA are valued), TCP/IP networks, VLANs, Windows and/or Linux systems is required. Interest in cybersecurity is expected, and experience in monitoring systems is a plus.
An organized and responsible person. High level of Spanish and Catalan required. Proficiency in English is a plus.
