Job Details: OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER (RIUDELLOTS & VILAMALLA)
Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods, a major food sector company in the province of Girona with both national and international presence, is seeking to incorporate, due to its growth and expansion plan, an OH&S Manager. The main mission of this role will be to lead, implement, consolidate, and strengthen occupational risk prevention at both the Riudellots and Vilamalla plants.
Main tasks and responsibilities will include:
– Promoting prevention at Frigoríficos Costa Brava in both Riudellots and Vilamalla, ensuring full integration into the company.
– Understanding, supervising, and ensuring compliance with OH&S regulations.
– Organizing and coordinating preventive work meetings.
– Providing advice and technical support to the company on OH&S matters.
– Preparing the Annual Prevention Plan, as well as other specific prevention plans, including the Covid Prevention Plan.
– Preparing the Annual OH&S Training Plan (needs detection, budget management, invoice follow-up).
– Drafting the annual activity report.
– Supervising preventive documentation and introducing changes to improve regulatory compliance.
– Conducting general and specific risk assessments and proposing new measures for elimination, control, or reduction.
– Delivering general and specific training and information on OH&S.
– Preparing information sheets, procedures, and work instructions (checklists, document control, and oversight of external contractors).
– Preparing emergency measure reports and, where applicable, self-protection plans.
– Planning and directing actions in emergency and first aid situations.
– Implementing the E-Coordina platform.
– Managing the Preventor training platform for online OH&S training.
– Coordinating with external prevention services (task planning, visit management, report review, activity follow-up).
– Collaborating with public bodies (Labor Inspectorate) when required, and assisting external auditors during OH&S audits.
– Managing the OH&S team across the Riudellots and Vilamalla plants.
Requirements:
– Autonomy and accountability in the position.

– University degree in Labor Relations.
– Mandatory Master’s Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention with all three accredited specializations.
– Experience preparing annual prevention plans and self-protection plans.
– Experience in workplace accident investigations.

Required experience:
Minimum of 4–5 years in a similar position, preferably in an industrial company.
