We deeply regret to announce the passing of Mr. Joaquim Cañigueral (Cassà de la Selva, Girona, 1935), one of the founding partners of our group Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods, who passed away yesterday, August 3, 2025.

Father of Xevi, Lluís, and Neus Cañigueral, who are part of the current ownership of the group, he was born into a humble family and co-founded the company that would later become today’s group together with his brothers Joan Cañigueral and Càndid Cañigueral.

All of us at Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods deeply feel his loss and will always hold him in our thoughts.
