This was the first trade fair we were able to attend due to the health and safety restrictions imposed worldwide since the start of the pandemic

From October 28th, we participated for three days in the largest international food and beverage exhibition held in Shanghai (China), supported by FIAB as the organizer of the Spanish pavilion at the SNIEC venue. Despite the pandemic, the fair recorded a high number of both national and international visitors. China continues to be one of the most important destinations for Spanish food and beverage exports in recent years.

Due to Covid-19, SIAL China 2020 became the first fair we were able to attend after months of global event cancellations.

This year, our Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods stand focused on promoting Serrano ham and sliced fresh pork products under the Bolava brand — our registered trademark in China. One of our main goals was also to communicate to the Chinese market our awareness and contingency plans in the fight against the pandemic.

To highlight this message visually, a large screen was placed in the side corridor of our stand, broadcasting a video detailing all the Covid-19 prevention and safety measures implemented across our production facilities.

Thanks to our participation in SIAL China 2020, we established new professional relationships with key companies in the sector and secured initial orders for the products showcased during the event.
