Committed to reducing emissions
At Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods, we are committed to reusing and recycling waste and optimizing resources in our production plants.
Firm in our commitment to continuous improvement and reducing the company’s emissions, at Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods we have implemented two projects under the Energy Savings and Efficiency Aid Line for SMEs and Large Industrial Sector Companies, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and managed by IDAE through the National Energy Efficiency Fund.
We are increasing production processes that use natural gas, a sustainable and continuously supplied energy source. With this new energy source and the implementation of the latest technology, we are improving the air quality of our environment and the planet.
Good news to share today, Energy Efficiency Day, which adds to the renovation of refrigeration facilities by replacing old equipment with the best techniques available in the sector, achieving excellent efficiency and performance values while reducing electricity consumption and improving the wastewater treatment process, reducing energy consumption per cubic meter treated.
We optimize the consumption of our plants and align ourselves with SDGs 9, 12, and 13.
