The first edition of “Encuentros gastronómicos CEJE” organised by the “Circulo Empresarial Japón España” was held on the 26th of October. This dinner was attended by representatives of important companies exporting to Japan such as Balfegó – the authentic red tuna, Cacao Sampaka, Pere Ventura Family Wine Estates and Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods. Also in attendance were the Honourable Consul General of Japan in Barcelona, Mr. Yasusi Sato, and the Deputy Consul General of Japan, Mr. Hitoshi Kawazoe, with the aim of disseminating Japanese culture and values in Spain and fostering business relations between the two markets.
During the dinner we had the pleasure of delighting the attendees with a second course with one of our products: “Crispy bacon cooked at low temperature with potato parmentier, artichokes and spring onions with ratafia”. A dish designed exclusively for the event, which was a success with the palates of the diners.
During the day we were able to explain to Yashushi Sato what our commercial relationship with Japan is like, how we see our joint projection and the rigorous food safety and quality measures that our processes follow. The Consul General congratulated us on our work in the Japanese market and reiterated how important it is for their market and culture to guarantee this food quality.
