1. Inclusion and Social Development
Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods supports initiatives that promote inclusion and social development, ensuring people’s wellbeing. Through inclusive employment programmes, training and sport, in collaboration with social organisations, we work to create opportunities and build a more inclusive and supportive society.
We are helping to preserve the Can Tià volcano (in La Garrotxa), next to our cold meat and ham production centres (Sèlvans)
We actively collaborate with organisations such as the Red Cross, Caritas, Casa Caridad and Food Banks by donating products.
For example, through Fundació Astrid 21, we have had two people working at our Riudellots and Vilamalla centres for more than 5 years
Through Bàsquet Girona and Fundació Mifas, we support the social inclusion of people with physical disabilities. We have been the official sponsor of the Bàsquet Girona wheelchair team since 2024. We work with Fundació Mifas, providing financial support (since 2024) for awareness-raising sessions to promote the social inclusion of this group at educational centres in towns in Catalonia where we have production plants.
