Job Details: INDUSTRIAL IT ENGINEER (CHESTE)
Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods, a leading company in its market segment with both national and international presence, is looking to recruit an INDUSTRIAL IT ENGINEER to join its Frescos y Elaborados Delisano plant in Cheste.
We are looking for a professional with a university degree in Industrial Computing, Robotics Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications or a Master’s degree in Industrial Automation and Industrial Computing (MUAII), the Postgraduate Programme in Automation, Robotics and Industrial Computing (ai2 Institute), or a Master’s Degree in the Implementation of Industry 4.0 Systems will be highly valued.
Main responsibilities include:
Automation systems development and maintenance
- Program, modify and optimize automation applications based on Siemens S7-300 and S7-1200/1500 PLCs using STEP7 and TIA Portal.
- Develop software using KOP, AWL and SCL programming languages for process and machinery control.
- Configure and maintain HMI interfaces and associated supervisory systems.
- Participate in the commissioning and validation of new facilities and equipment.
Industrial integration and communications
- Design, configure and maintain industrial networks (PROFINET, PROFIBUS and Modbus).
- Implement and maintain communications between OT and IT environments using protocols and technologies such as OPC-UA, MQTT, S7 links, Snap7 and Libnodave.
- Integrate production equipment with monitoring, traceability and data analysis systems.
- Collaborate on digitalization and Industry 4.0 projects.
Application development and support tools
- Develop applications and utilities in C#, Python or VBS for process automation, data acquisition and industrial information management.
- Implement diagnostic, monitoring and reporting tools.
- Participate in the integration of databases and industrial data analysis platforms.
Technical support and troubleshooting
- Analyse and resolve complex issues related to control systems, industrial communications and automation.
- Respond quickly and effectively in critical situations, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational continuity.
- Investigate root causes of incidents and propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide advanced technical support to maintenance, production and engineering teams.
Engineering and technical documentation
- Interpret electrical diagrams and technical documentation developed using EPLAN or equivalent tools.
- Prepare and maintain functional documentation, network diagrams, procedures and programming standards.
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety requirements and automation best practices.
