Job Details: WASTE MANAGEMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN (VILAMALLA)
Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods, a leading company in its market segment with a presence both nationally and internationally, is looking to recruit a WASTE MANAGEMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN for its plant in Vilamalla (Girona) as part of its ongoing growth.
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager and joining the Quality Department, the main responsibility of the successful candidate will be to manage the plant’s environmental and waste-related activities, ensuring the proper administrative and documentary management of generated waste, compliance with applicable legal requirements, and monitoring of the company’s environmental indicators.
The ideal candidate will hold a university degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Environmental Science and Technology, Environmental Engineering, or an equivalent qualification. Candidates with a Higher Vocational Training qualification (CFGS) in Chemistry or Environmental Studies will also be considered. Training in environmental and waste management regulations, knowledge of environmental management systems (ISO 14001), and training related to sustainability, circular economy, or the calculation of environmental indicators will be considered an advantage.
We are looking for an organised and methodical person with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, the ability to clearly convey concepts, and a rigorous approach to documentation.
